THIS TEST IS GOOD TO GO NOW.

  1. Jordan, sorry, I have no idea why the error is showing up. This test took me over an hour to put together, and I followed instructions to the tee. Damn them.

I haven't been to Steve's board for a week, but I will check it out for you.

  2. Jordan, well isn't the death penalty justified in child rape/murder cases?

Cocaine and heroin are very similar. They are much more closely related than either and marijuana. They are both addictive, and lead to other blue collar crime.

  3. The death penalty is justified, but not necessary or useful. The cost/benifit analysis doesn't add up. The pro is that a child rapist would get what they deserve, but the immense fiscal cost of death penalty trials is put to better use helping rebuild the lives of the victoms.

Regarding cocaine and heroine, I disagree. Cocaine has a 10% first-time addictive rate. While I would never touch the stuff there are many social/weekend cocain users who still lead functional lives.

Heroine on the other hand is a trip to hell. Once you insert a heroine needle into you, the chances of you coming back are bleak. Heroine addicts are a pimps dream come true.

Meth is interesting. While I am largely against supply-side drug war because of its poor results, meth can only be manifactured in 9 plants world-wide. It is as addictive as heroine and treatment has shown poor long-term results, but cracking down on meth potency/availability seems to have a 1-on-1 relation to overal meth use and related crime.

  4. The Titanic

The story of the Titanic has incredibly close parallels to the biblical plan of salvation. Just as the great pleasure ship struck an iceberg and sank, this great world—with all its inhabitants—is slowly sinking into the cold grip of death. As with the Titanic, where only those passengers who believed that they were in impending danger looked to the lifeboats, so only those who believe that they are in mortal danger will look to the Lifeboat of the Savior, Jesus Christ. The great “iceberg” that will take the world to an icy grave is the Moral Law—the Ten Commandments.

Here is the evidence that we are sinking: Jesus said that if we look with lust, we commit adultery in our heart. No one who has had sex outside of marriage, or any liar, or any thief will enter heaven. The Bible says that if we hate someone, we are guilty of murder. We fail to put God first. We make a god in our image. We break all the Commandments. If we stay with the “ship,” we will perish on the Day of Judgment, when all of our sins come out as evidence of our guilt. God, however, is rich in mercy and doesn’t want anyone to go to hell. He made a way for us to be saved. Jesus Christ, the One whom the Bible calls the “Captain of our salvation,” gave His life so that we could have a place in the lifeboat. He took our punishment upon Himself, suffering on the cross for us. We broke God’s Law, but He paid our fine. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death. The moment we repent and trust in Him alone for our eternal salvation, God will forgive us and grant us the gift of eternal life.

Don’t hesitate. You may wait until it’s too late! It was reported that some of the lifeboats that left the Titanic early were only half full. Many more on board could have been saved, but they refused to believe that the great “unsinkable” ship was sinking. They perished because their faith was misguided. Don’t be like them. Believe the gospel. Repent and trust Jesus Christ today ...and God will never let you down.

  5. J 146, what do you think compells you to try to convert strangers into your specific religious salvation? Do you think g-d will punish you if you don't win over a few for Jesus?

As an Athiest Jew, I like the story of Jesus, I think he (the legend) was all right. And I must admit I donate to Christian charities who work in Africa and the middle-east because I favor Christian ideology over the alternative (noted exception to irresponsible anti-condom policy)

But J 146, do you question your capicity to believe any mythology that presents itself? If the Bible was based on "The Lord of the Rings" rather than a clone of Krishna, but neverthelous claimed to be divine, do you think you would be able to recognize it as fiction?

  6. J, you keep on quoting Jesus. Jesus didn't even exist. Why don't you quote Sam from Green Eggs In Ham instead? It would be more entertaining.

  7. You are perceived by me as a fellow genius. But if you didn't score 200, you still need to figure a few things out. But I'm sure if you put in some time, your outlook will eventually be correct.

    Sweet!

  8. Lisa, I figure you would score high.

Joe Don, sorry, but the move by Jews to Israel wasn't how you described, nor only for biblical reasons. It was to escape anti-semitism anywhere in the world. And it is a fact that most of the world in religious whether us Atheists like it or not. You are buying into Palestinian bias I think, you should do a quick Wikipedia search of The partition for example to get a better historical view. I could be wrong about your knowledge of the conflict though....but even though you aren't an anti-semitic whacko, you chose the wrong answer.....no partial credit for you.

  9. The IQ test was originally developed to find leaders for armies so those who scored highest would be the leaders and/or officers!

  10. Man, i need this quiz to have text entry boxes. for example, for 18, i need to be able to type "A hurricane, which we get several of each year."

Also, re: 13, am i the only one who thinks the west desperately needs much, much better propaganda? i mean, we can assault a place no problem, and we can... kinda track people down, so long as they're a second in command or lower... but we seem to suck at influencing opinion.

  11. Miker, just go with the best possible answer. Katrina was covered by "a natural disaster that had nothing to do with God" unless you think God makes hurricanes which would mean your answer would be one of the other two.
