ANN COULTER IS AN EMBARRASSING DITZ

Once again Ann Coulter is stirring the pot with her idiocy, this time with her new book "Godless." From the reviews and the interviews I've seen so far, I have to say that she is a complete nutcase who is just as delusional and NOW just as hurtful (thanks to her comments about 9/11 wives) as Shirley Roper. Same shit, different pile. She is just as disgraceful as Michael Berg and Cindy Sheehan.

She apparently devoted a chapter to evolution and the Left. She calls evolution the religion of the Left whereby the religion of evolution allows Lefties to be void of moralities. She says the Left is without religion. She says that evolution is full of gaps and in fine Fundy form uses Piltdown man and peppered moths of England as examples that evolution is a false science. Of course, she ignores that every genuine biologist on this planet knows evolution is fact, and she ignores the fact that every legitimate scientific discovery fits into evolution theory, and that frauds are constantly looked for and found out by the rigorous scrutinizing that scientific theory goes through.

She makes the false conclusion that evolution is a way for the Godless to prove that there is no God.
That is just ignorant. Evolution is fact. You can make your own conclusions about God but don’t deny real facts and then write about it. Many biologists believe in God, notably, Ken Miller. Evolution disproves a literal bible though........too bad. Geology also disproves a literal bible, so does math. But many Fundies just can’t handle facts that conflict with the bible and take the old age approach of calling anyone who has information contrary to the bible, demonic monsters and heretics.

Considering almost 50% of Americans are Democrat, and thus Lefties by her definition, and 90% of Americans believe in God, how can she call Lefties Godless Evolutionists?
Many Republicans believe in a evolution and many democrats don't. Of course, more Conservatives deny evolution and they also believe in Young Earth nonsense too than Liberal Democrats do. But the idiot lumps everyone together. Her book sounds like a real bad blog.

Take me for instance. I don't apologize for terror. In fact, I'm as hard on terrorists and radical Islam as much as any Far Right Republican is for that matter. I know that radical Islam must be reformed or exterminated. And I deny God's existence, and I know evolution is fact. I am proof that Coulter is a know nothing rhetorical wind bag. I know many Atheists and Agnostic who share my views on Islam. A lot of them comment on this blog. Coulter is an embarrassment to anyone who is Pro-War on Terror. The War on Terror has nothing to do with believing in evolution. In fact, most of who we are fighting are staunch God believers and most Jihadists do not believe in evolution.

I don't need to get into her interview where she stated that Canada sent soldiers to Vietnam and still believed it even when CBC Fifth Estate's Bob McKeown told her she was wrong. Nor do I have to mention her Adam's Apple or man hands in order to ridicule her. I don’t even have to speculate if she pees standing up. I refuse to go down to her levels. The contents of her new book expose her ditziness enough without me slandering her.

Keith Olbermann makes her look like a hypocritical lunatic with respect to her 9/11 comments below:

Griper Blade and Pharyngula both write on Coulter as does Captains Quarters. Good reading.

  1. You are just angry because your church of liberalism has been challenged!

  2. Read my blog, and tell me I'm a Lefty on terror.....obviously you suffer from the same disease as Coulter.

  3. If she were a man, some 'godless liberal' would have beaten the shit out of her 10 years ago.

    She is, simply, repulsive.

  4. I LOVED the Olbermann bit. Love that guy, period.

  5. I am no fan of Coulter, she really is mean for the sake of being mean.

But she said something interesting on CNN last night. She mentioned that Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, and even Ward Churchill (who called the 9/11 victoms "little Eichmanns") can go to any university campus and give a speech without any threat of harm.

But if Coulter, Dr. Condi Rice, Irshad Manji, and even Ayaan Hirsi Ali wish to give a public speech they need an army of bodyguards... and even then they are sometimes silenced.

The extreme left and the Islamists seem to have made an alliance in hell to use violence and the threat of violence to shut down discenting thought.

Again, I don't agree with Coulter, she seems to spark fury even more than Bacon! :) But it is odd that the peacenick left seem to be the violent ones these days

  6. Anne Coulter is such an accomplished liar, she has grown a dick. Either that, or her sex reassignment surgery was successful.

    (scratch scratch, hiss hiss)

  7. Rubin, I am not denying the far left/Muslim alliance, it exists. But it has nothing to do with believing in God or secularism. In fact, many on the far left are Catholics and weren't those Iraqi hostages who were let go a little while ago a Christian group?....oh yeah, one of them lost their head, but they were believers and they were very sympathetic to Islam.

  8. Not being an American I've never had any experience of this woman before, but what an arsehole. Disagree with someones politics by all means but insulting people over their personal loss is the sort of playground cruelty you expect from unthinking children. Anyway there should be no surprise - she is after all obviously an idiot of the highest category.

However, she is the predictable product of the liberty we all support. We'll just have to put up with her and continue to demolish the arguments she creates. That doesn't look too hard.

  9. Bacon, it kills you just as it kills me to know that support for Israel and the war on terror does come from the right and not our fellow pro-gay-marriage-athiest.

There is a school of thought that there is no "left" and "right". Case and point, next week Germany's Nazi party is planning on a solitary march in support of Iran and their delightful president.

The extremes on both sides always seem to reach out to each other.

  10. Jordan, some people are a left on every single issue. We know a few of these people.

Then there are realists, like me and you who figure out what is right and wrong based on fact.

And then you have extreme right wing nutbags like Coulter.

The extremists on both sides ignore real data and facts because it doesn't fit their belief system.

  11. You know what I find strange, the left see climate change as a real threat and the right see terrorism as a real threat but few see both as threats! I can't figure out why.

I really dislike Coulter, but I must admit she is entertaining to watch. To you get MSNBC? I started watching it a few months back and I love it! Tukker Carlson (who I actually started to like) has her on from time to time... she reminds me of the bad guy from the little mermaid :)

Have you spoken to anyone who belongs to CUPE? One guy I spoke to said 95% of the members still have no clue about the boycott and there may have been some economic issues involved (bargaining chip)... but he is a bit on the consperacy side. But man, once they start with the "apartheid" talk it just doesn't stop. Hopefully some high ranking Islamic nutjub will make more statements calling for the killing of the jews reminding the world what Israel is up against.

  12. I get every channel I can, because I work from home and would go nuts without TV. The video I put on my blog is from MSNBC. I also get Fox news, but the Right Wing Christianity push on that channel is too much.

I wonder how many Cupe members were arrested in the terror sweep:)

CNN just did a commercial for a Christian based book, showdown in Jerusalem on the upcoming war between Iran and Israel.

Don't the Rapture Christians need a Holy war in Israel before Jesus shows up. I'm hoping this isn't what is guiding the war effort.

  13. BEAJ, we both know what we think of one another, but I am just here to give you a link which you may find interesting, about religion, creationism, and the negative health effects thereof. Nothing to do with our usual disaccords.

Don't be put off by the title of the magazine and look at its arguments and especially the graphs at the end of the text. It shows clearly that belief in creationism is bad for your health.

    http://moses.creighton.edu/JRS/2005/2005-11.html

"Among the developed democracies absolute belief in God, attendance of religious services and Bible literalism vary over a dozenfold, atheists and agnostics five fold, prayer rates fourfold, and acceptance of evolution almost twofold. Japan, Scandinavia, and France are the most secular nations in the west, the United States is the only prosperous first world nation to retain rates of religiosity otherwise limited to the second and third worlds (Bishop; PEW). Prosperous democracies where religiosity is low (which excludes the U.S.) are referred to below as secular developed democracies.

Correlations between popular acceptance of human evolution and belief in and worship of a creator and Bible literalism are negative (Figure 1). The least religious nation, Japan, exhibits the highest agreement with the scientific theory, the lowest level of acceptance is found in the most religious developed democracy, the U.S."

"A few hundred years ago rates of homicide were astronomical in Christian Europe and the American colonies (Beeghley; R. Lane). In all secular developed democracies a centuries long-term trend has seen homicide rates drop to historical lows (Figure 2). The especially low rates in the more Catholic European states are statistical noise due to yearly fluctuations incidental to this sample, and are not consistently present in other similar tabulations (Barcley and Tavares). Despite a significant decline from a recent peak in the 1980s (Rosenfeld), the U.S. is the only prosperous democracy that retains high homicide rates, making it a strong outlier in this regard (Beeghley; Doyle, 2000)."

"In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion in the prosperous democracies (Figures 1-9). The most theistic prosperous democracy, the U.S., is exceptional, but not in the manner Franklin predicted. The United States is almost always the most dysfunctional of the developed democracies, sometimes spectacularly so, and almost always scores poorly."

There is much more, and as I said, the graphs are eloquent. So, exceptionally, this is one time you should read something I send you.

  14. It's not that the left doesn't view terrorism as a threat. Terrorism is a threat, yes, but addressing it usually means restricting the civil liberties of free citizens, something I am not willing to stand for.

As the saying by Benjamin Franklin goes, "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security."

Islamists are willing to die as unwavering slaves to their God. I'm rather not die an unwavering slave to my government.

  15. Bernarda, I'm not sure that I agree with their definition of who is the most secular nation or non believing nation.
Sweden and Denmark rank highest according to the research I did for this March post.

There have also been studies that in America for example, believers live a few more years on average than non-believers. This could be due to having larger families to give people "something to live for" and may also be related to simply having a mate close by in case someone stops breathing.

Of course, as far as science advancement goes, America is big trouble because of the amount of YECs inhabiting the US. Ken Miller addresses this at the end of his video on the Dover case available on my multi media section of my sidebar.

  16. So Allie, how would you handle the threat of terrorism. And if Islam has it's way, you won't have to worry about having civil liberties left anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Whoops- I didn't see that my other comment posted before.

BEAJ- so what you are saying is that we are basically in a race to the finish where waiting for us at the end is a totalitarian, police state government where certainly terrorism (or crime of any kind) would be nonexistent, or being blown up by islamists.

I would prefer to maintain the values of freedom and liberty that make me American than to have that taken away to protect against terrorism or any outside threat of which there are many. There are millions of sheep who are willing to let big brother take the wheel, but how much am I willing to trust that? What have we gotten since 9/11 but more inefficient government bureucracy that is better at raping American pocketbooks than actually protecting anyone? If Hurricane Katrina had instead been terrorists blowing up the levees, the picture of our response to that disaster would be just as ugly and indicative of how disorganized and unprepared we are to respond to a domestic crisis. My point is, even if we continue to hand more reigns over to the government, I have a feeling that we'd end up being fucked in both ends.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Allie, France tried it your way, they might be screwed now. As long as there are people who want to conquer and believe in martyrdom, government is a necessary evil.

I really don't have much faith in people governing themselves either. If it wasn't for religion, I think many believers would be on the street raping and pillaging.

  19. The Invisible man in the sky doesn't exist in the animal kingdom other than with humans (at least I don't think bonobos, dolphins and elephants believe in God), and every creature evolved morality. Most species are pretty good to each other as long as space isn't invaded, in most cases. They are pretty law abiding amongst their own species in a Godless world.

Of course I'm not counting the praying mantis.

  20. I used to think Anne Coulter was OK but I do get dismayed when my Christian allies make fools of themselves over evolution. I used to really enjoyDavid Warren Online until he started making dumb comments about never seeing mud guppies develop legs and making fun of evolutionists. I stopped reading him then.

It is amazing that "intelligent" people can be so blind when it comes to the whole creation thing. It's so obvious to me that life is not a result of an omnipotent intelligence but could only be the result of accumulated developments and constant replications. Human intelligence achieves what it does through numerous selections of already existing things and imagined things that are basically mutations of the real world. The concept of divine intelligence comes from a misunderstanding of human intelligence which is then simply writ large on the notion of a supreme being. Humans aren't really that intelligent at all, they are simply good at remembering things and rearranging blocks and observing what happens. Even so, how many drivers were flung through the windshield before seat belts were thought to be a good idea?

  21. Jordan: I know why. (RE: You know what I find strange, the left see climate change as a real threat and the right see terrorism as a real threat but few see both as threats! I can't figure out why.)

People on "the right" see terrorism as interferring with their "god given right" to make as much money as they possibly can.

And people "on the right" see the claim of human induced global climate change as interferring with their "god given right" to make as much money as they possibly can.

So having repeated the obvious, my recommendation when trying to understand why the world works as it does is>>> "Follow Da Money." :)

  22. Beep Beep, I think you might be talking about a few, not the whole.
To me, fighting terrorism has nothing to do with money. But then again I'm very liberal on many other issues.

  24. Interesting that she titled the book "Godless" perhaps a few ppl who go looking for it on Amazon will pick up Pete Hautman's novel of the same name, a good read for the budding atheist child:

  25. "She is a complete and utter nutjob."

She is crazy like a fox. She has come up with a digusting, but clever way to make money off the superstitious, the bigoted and the ignorant. Her attacks on reason and facts bring about the desired effect and therefore more publicity which means that more slugs will buy her books.

"She ought to be straightjacketed, locked away in a heavily padded room, and fed applesauce through a straw."

No doubt it will be a 24 karat gold straw. The Ann Coulters of this world will not be defeated by locking them away. They will be defeated by a mature, non-superstitious, rational, informed public who will yawn and/or laugh her off the public forum, which means that her kind will be around for a long time to come.

"Keith Olbermann did a fantastic job in that video clip!

    He did, indeed.

  26. Anne Coulter is everything but moral. She fucked Bill Maher, she calls herself a 'Christian' she must not have read the bible once in her life. She thinks the Holocaust is funny, (if she read the bible it wouldn't) She would have to respect the Jews if she believes the book. She has a violent mouth and like most Republicans, have no respect for nature of animal life. Which leads to violence. The threats they get are not surprising. And lefties are very misinterpreted. I have seen Republicans kill other Republicans. And Bush is a fine example of not caring about violence. I believe in Evolution and God, I believe if she were intelligent she could understand that there is no way to know why we evolved or what will happen to people. They way she treats people suggest she is not even worthy of being called a Christian. (I am not a Christian)
But she isn't worthy of speaking at all. Her inferiority complex has lead her to need attention by being shamefully violent and crude in her beliefs and opinions. I think she is a nasty, insecure and hypocritical man. There are much smarter and more attractive women out there. I do believe in morals and have a high moral an giving nature. Politics have nothing to do with beliefs or morals and it should be left that way. You cannot challenge what has n about a spiritual life) and no Right-Wing person has ever challenged me whatsoever and never will. It is ok to murder people in war who have families but not get an abortion of a non-living fetus if you were raped that could save a person you love. That is not moral? If you believe in 'God' you must believe he cares about the weak and dying. So it is ok to murder people who aren't Christians? Hence her sarcasm about The Holocaust. Jews are intelligent enough to know there were many rabbis named 'Christ' and they were spiritual teachers, which had a bit of Pagan elements..Like Hades and Hell. Which are Pagan beliefs. Jews are not Pagan nor can they have anything Pagan involved in their beliefs. They see Christianity as Pagan and shameful how easy people fall for the system which Christianity even later adapted more Pagan elements into the religion to convert people. So why should Jews care what any Christian thinks? Why not judge moral character, not base morals on beliefs; which many followers are blind to anything they say or do as being immoral. She isn't worth anybody's time or breath. Avoid watching her programs and reading her useless books. She is biased and nothing she says adds up. She is a fearful Christian and never really considered making sure her information is valid about different beliefs and reasoning.
