What is the Solution for Israel Right Now?

As I stated previously, Israel cannot do prisoner swaps as this will only lead to more kidnapping. This goes for Hamas and Hizbollah.

Outside of Hizbollah handing back the soldiers and signing a peace treaty (something that is about as likely as me winning the lottery tonight), Israel now has to forget about outside opinion. I haven't seen outside opinion as being too loving towards Israel anyways. This is about survival. Not just through 2006 but to at least 2036
(I hope deep down that radical Islam is defeated by around then).

My solution isn't pretty because I don't think the Arab nations understand anything but death and destruction. We can see now that Iran isn't building nukes for deterrant reasons.....they will have no problem launching them at Israel for any reason they see fit.

First, Israel should continue crippling Hizbollah in Lebanon, until no more rockets are fired. But more likely, Syria will enter the war. Beautiful. Israel should cripple Syria. Then hopefully Iran will officially enter the picture. This will give Israel the green light to blow up everything they need to blow up in Iran, and while they are at of course, they need to blow up Ahmadinejad, into tiny little pieces.

I know this solution won't sit well with many so if anyone has a better solution (please, no need to tell me what Israel shouldn't do if it isn't accompanied with a valid long term solution as well), lets hear it.

Here are a couple of solutions I found while surfing. Sandmonkey thinks the IDF has done the wrong thing, and Yael K offers a less messier (than mine) solution.

Sad but true from the Dry Bones Blog.

One possible short term solution is the forced returned bodies dead or alive(I think they are dead by now) of the Israeli soldiers, with no prisoner swap in return, only a peace treaty. This will just be another bandaid solution. Oh did I forget about how to deal with Hamas and those who voted for them? One dilemma at a time.

I think this war is inevitable though, and unfortunately necessary. Israel needs to do the West's bidding and try to rid terrorists in 3 regions over the next few weeks, maybe months.

  1. Lebanon is a political cripple, a hand puppet for Syria and Iran. This is a real tragedy. Hezbollah needs to be incinerated and the Syrians need to be taught a lesson.
I don't know how the rest of the so-called civilized world can stand mute -- or worse, denigrate Israel -- while a bunch of well-armed thugs can take one nation hostage, and attack another (with regional and global consequences just on the horizon).

  3. Hey Bacon,

I am using Opera browser now, I can't view your site with IE just abends over and over again.
Thanks for the introduction to the experience on the Blagh site. So much is happening right now with the news. I don't have much time to do a report which I will do on my blog. I will do a complete report: Banned by Ontario Moonbats!!! ;)
I have been spending my time researching reports from Lebanese and Israeli websites. I have friends in Israel and communicating with them.

There usually is no point in these arguments. There are two sides with different intentions and for every point there is a counter point, Actually the side that wins is the one that loses because the only way to "win" is to endlessly pound out insults, irrelevancies, creative swearing, argue out of context, lie, and make ad hominems.

The only use such arguments have is to take a psychological profile of the opposition and observe the extent and dierection of their intentions.

But I did make some significant conclusions from the experience. I did conclude that such blogs as yours may be fufilling a very useful purpose. I have know of course that we have an entrenching erosion of freedom and assimilation of terrorist elements in Canada. These Liberal Leftists are a danger in that they are encouraging that using the "freedom" of democracy to bring in terror and death to our native land.
"Hey mommy and daddy ! I'm bringing Abdull the terrorist home for dinner, isn't it Kool!?"

Theree blogs right now mean nothing, Only lib-lefties go to them and others are driven away. But what is more important is that they don't post any information or do any research. tehy don't read essays, or think or research, they simply propagandize. about 10 of them spent 2 full ddays playing the game of "ad hominem". That is a terrific waste of personal time.

Sites like theirs are mere propaganda organs. Theyy do not research or bring forth information. They just make hysterical promotions and hate-mongering like "Israel is a terrorist sate" and spent three days arguing with everyone they could find or snare how this propaganda is is "truth".

Sites like yours actually do a service. You provide real dissemmination of information that has hitherto been unexamined or unpresented in our society. As more and more people read your blog, they become informed and less likely to succumb to lib-left propaganda.

Where it will matter ti the next time we have a serious political event in our country. At that tiem the leftists will make their play to bring Abdullah home to supper. We can hope that the Canadian public will have become more amd more informed with genuine information so they will see through the dangerous suicidal idealogy of the lib-leftists.

So keep up the good work. Just research and Blog and bring out the truth in a polite and informative way. Don't go out and argue with mooonbats is my advice. If you do that, no one is listening to you, not them, and no one else can get through them in order to see what you have to say. On the moonbat blogs they encourage insulting, ad hominems and extreme nastiness. I defeated them with their own ethos . I simply out insulted and out swore them and stopped a pointless waste of my time. Thus I brought out the flaw in such an ideology of hate which they have is that it is only useful in applying to enemies, it cannot serve debate. In such an atmosphere no one can learn or listen to anyone else. Yes, and to be sure to center on that, the Moonbat ideology is an Ideology of Hate. They cannot survive without an enemy.

BTW, I'm an athiest. They accused me or suspected me of being a "Christian". They live in an incredibly braindead political flatland.

Such absurd views of life, some of them have! One said it's "Not kill or be killed"
Huh? Explain that one to the families of dead terrorist victims , everywhere from Iraq, to India to 9/11 to Braitan's 7/7.

    >>>>>>>>>

About the war, the war will widen. The awful thing is that looking around the internet, the majority THE Fracking MAJORITY of Arabs in every state wants WAR they don't want peace. It's not heartening. What is wrong with the human race? They need more poetry and art.

Yes, the good side is that Iran may be vaporized or at least have it's nuclear capablity destroyed.

In every dark cloud there is a silver lining.

  4. Yuck! Haven't installed the spell checker on Opera browser yet.

The good Jewish Freak and the Good Doctor are right.

Listen guys: Here's what to do as the rockets from Hizbulla fall and the Israeli artillery shells explode and the terrorists torture your wives.

Look on the bright side of life.

    Life's a piece of shit
    When you look at it
    Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
    You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

In every cloud there is always a silver lining.

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
    Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

    If life seems jolly rotten
    There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
    Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

    For life is quite absurd
    And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

    Life's a piece of shit
    When you look at it
    Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
    You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
    (Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
    What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life..

  6. Here's a PLAN. This kind of thinking is quite popular now. A recent survey of Israel showed 51 percent in favour of wiping out the entire Palestinian Auhtority and 31 in favour of only decapitating HAMAS.
In other words , the people of Israel right now seem to have had enough and they seem to be looking for a defining moment such as a Waterloo or a Gettysburg. And I think the USA may be on board.

Tthe main page of Israeli Insider is quite interesting. It is really a valuable source of news and commentary.

    A Light unto the Nations
By Ted Belman July 15, 2006

Israel's biblical mission is to be a "light unto the nations". Israel is leading the way in taking on Iran's proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas. The US is on board in fingering Syria and Iran as being behind it all, as they are behind much of the violence in Iraq.

The US must rise to the challenge and attack Iran. Enough of the talk and endless proposals. It is time to act. There is no better time.

Israel should not be attacking powerless Lebanon. Israel should be attacking Syria. Israel will find it easier to win in Lebanon if it destroys Syria.

The US is wrong to think it can stablize Iraq without taking on Syria and Iran. It is also wrong to think it can win the war on terror without cutting off the head of the snake.

Both Iran and Saudi Arabia must lose their oil revenues. It is time for the US to occupy the oil fields in Saudi Arabia and maintain the oil flow. Also the revenues could then be used to finance the war.

The exit strategy is obvious: shrink Iran and Syria and create an independant Kurdistan. Maintain control of the oil fields and the revenues therefrom for the benefit of the third world.

Bomb the nuclear facilities, government institutions and Iran?s Revolutionary Guard. At the same time aid and abet secessionist movements among the Kurds and Azeries in north western Iran, Kurds in eastern Syria and the Shia in south eastern Iran.

Once the regimes fall, redraw the borders of Syria, Iran and Iraq as Ralph Peters suggests in Blood Borders and stand by your friends.

Now is the time to regain the initiative. The US should regain its nerve and finish what it started.

  7. Probably the most potent weapon to fundamentalist thinking of any sort is secularism. If only we could bomb them with cable TV and indy films, and airdrop Kant and Hume pamphlets. If they just had an episode of Sopranos to look forward to on sunday night, they might not be turning themselves into human bombs.

I have always been a fan of Asimov's pacifist sentiment embodies in his character Salvor Hardin who said, "violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

But that was fantasy and this is real life.

Unfortunatly it appears military might is the only immediate solution...such a shame though.

  8. I am wondering if Iran was pulling the strings behind the Hezbullah kidnappings of the two IDF soldiers, knowing Israel would respond the way it did, potentially giving Iran an "excuse" to launch nukes at Israel.

  9. I would hope Israel would know if Iran has nuclear capabilities or not. I doubt they would let them have them.

  11. Catherin You ARE right as for strategy, It may be just that they will use conventional weapons. They gave HIZ many other guided missles some very dangerous with with large warheads that they may not have used yet. They could go after some very critical targets in Israel.
I think considering what missiles they might have there and the danger of them hitting critical targets.they must put boots on the ground and clean them out. asap.
Imagine if there were guided conventional missiles that could hit precisely at any target in America. Anyone had that capability and the USA would turn them into dust.

Ben: that strategy works in the long run.

Hey bacon,, Israelis aren't gods, they can't know everything. who knows?

I like the weather forecast for Tehran

    ReplyDelete
  12. Max is right. If Iran doesn't have nuclear capabilities yet, they will try to wipe Israel out with conventional weapons. Ahmadinejad has been frothing at the mouth about "wiping Israel off the map" ever since he took office. I think he noted Israel's response in Gaza after Hamas kidnapped Shalit, and he prodded Hezbollah to carry out a similar kidnapping, knowing that Israel would respond similarly in Lebanon and things would escalate rapidly. Things are going to get very, very ugly from here, and I think the rat-faced Iranian prick has played a big part in this situation.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Guided missiles can hit oil refineries , chemical factories, nuclear power plants, airports.. and probably more dangerous things I don't know or can't think about.

Israel has got to go in and get all the missiles, by hook or by crook.

  15. Hi Bacon,

I probably won't be on Yahoo for a while , though I will follow yor lead and post links to my BLog there, I 'm going to do some more blogging.

I really can't post effectively there. The site requires opening numerous windows to see the threads. with my old equipment. I have to work with threads where all the comments are on a single page.
I attacked the wrong perosn simply because I couldn't follow the thread. Sometimes I have to wait a long time just for a page to open and then I find out thatthe comment is meaningless or i can't see what it repsonds to and i have to open 10 windows to get to the source, by that time i am hours behind the conversation.
I don't live anywhere near a big city, computer equipment is cheap but I have to be in the city to shop around buy it and get it home, so it will be a while.
But i started to get used to the environment there, it's interesting and there are some good people there.

I sure didn't. Neither did the unit that was attacked that got two soldiers kidnapped and 2 dead. Well not specificaly.israel may have been well aware tht there was a srong possibility.

  18. Max, I too was surprised and thus wondered whethers OTHERS saw it coming. I read that there was an earlier foiled attempt to kidnap israeli soldiers and the second , this one, succeeded and that Hezb did it with view to prisoner exchange .

  19. There are political ways to go about things. Hezbollah saw that Israel is not going to trade prisoners for soldiers in Gaza. The Arabs can't help themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  20. so beaj u are saying hezbollah KNEW israel would not trade prisoners and thus they knew this WILL be an act of aggression?

and INTENDED it as an act of aggression though it is just 2 soldiers.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yes, Hezbollah knew the likelihood of a trade was remote. Why do you think they had so many missiles ready to fire?
Normally, I don't give Arabs credit for even thinking one move ahead. But what they failed to understand is that the West is fed up with assmonkey mentality.
I think they were selling the Israel short too, thinking they could fire from residentual areas and not have missiles come back at them, and if they did, they expected a huge outrage from the West.

I'm only speculating. Figuring out what a Jihadist is "thinking" is like figuring out what a crocodile is thinking during a feeding frenzy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. beaj they fired from residential areas, was there a strategic reason OTHER than the one u anticipated?

Can it be that they were also hiding their arsenal from the regular army in their bases hidden amongst residences? Thus they fired from there. Was there a NEED for them to keep those arsenals missiles hidden from Lebananese army or could they AFFORD to have them openly displayed in show of force? OR maybe were they hiding them from IDF to avoid detection as IDF could have detected their bases as IDF did bomb out their known bases immediately?

I think Hizbullah wants to draw Israeli army into Lebanon and stage a counterattack. They may have some trap in mind with a sneak attack by Syrian air force or their imported weaponry. I think they miscalculated thinking that Israel would not attack them as they hid behind their Civilian shields and miscalculated the International reaction that supported Israel. They expected the Western Leftists to save them and protect them once again. But it didn't happen.

    YES!
Adn dwe can expect a lot more "preemptive attacks" untless we wipe them out.

I found someone who wrote a book about it.
Unfortunately the right people haven't read it yet.

    http://counterterror.typepad.com/the_counterterrorism_blog/2006/04/are_you_ready_f.html

"This recent visit to Tehran (by Nasrallah) aims at redrawing defensive red lines in Lebanon and preparing for future offensives against US interest and presence. Ahmedinijad was clear: Hizbollah's militia are Iran's most Western forces along the Mediterranean sea. Strategists in Washington and Brussels should understand the meaning of the message. Nasrallah is not just a Lebanese politician with a dozen members in the parliament, he is the commander of 20,000 militiamen, 5,000 fighters, and around a 1,000 suicide bombers ready to engage battle in the region and around the world"

" And to zoom on Hizbollah’s preparedness one can only observe the readying of its bases in Lebanon: Trucks are crossing the 62 (or so) open passages on the Lebanese-Syrian borders almost on a daily basis. Hizbollah has solidified its connections to Ahmad Jibril’s group, to the Jihadi Salafists inside the Palestinian camps and in various neighborhoods. Nasrallah is warning Lebanese politicians including the current Prime Minister not to “collaborate with the Americans.” Just last week, he stated that he would “chop off the hands, legs and extract the soul” (sic) of anyone who would dare attempt to disarm his militia"
"Iran knows that. Tehran is preparing for the confrontation. It has ordered all its assets to prepare for battle. Hizbollah, Tehran’s main strategic weapon is on a full steam campaign to “saturate the battlefield” ahead of time.

It is only through this prism that one can understand Hizbollah’s current moves inside Lebanon, in Gaza and the West Bank"

" In my book Future Jihad: Terrorist Strategies Against America, I not only project a Hizbollah upcoming wave, but I argue that it has already acquired its strategic targets. Like al Qaida, Hizbollah won’t warn America first. If you listen to or watch Nasrallah’s speeches and his Iranian inspirer Ahmedinijad’s, their rhetoric is already a battlefield one. Furthermore, Hizbollah will attempt to paint its future strikes as “legitimate responses to aggression.” Signs of this approach are abundant."

"The calculations of the strategy planners from Tehran to Beirut’s southern suburbs are very meticulous and above all, very patient. As in the cold war era, it is all about brinkmanship. So, back to those who are “surprised” today that Iran may retaliate fully, we say make sure the Iranian regime won’t pull a surprise attack on unexpected targets. Don’t let the Khumeinist Jihadis duplicate the 9/11 of the Salafi Jihadists: Make sure Hizbollah doesn’t surpass al Qaida in preemptive Terror"

    ...
