50,000 Visitors Since Installing My Site Meter

I guess it is a blogging tradition to thank all my visitors every once in a while when certain plateaus are achieved. OK, thank you. I think it just a reason to brag though. Hey check this out, I got my site meter up to 50,000, I'm so great.

I started my blog in January of 2005, but I didn't install a sitemeter until July 18th 2005. Prior to that I figure I was getting 10 hits a day tops. But to equalize that, I didn't figure out how to not have my hits count on my blog until around September, so the 50,000 total is pretty legit.

I admit, I spam my blog (on Yahoo message boards especially), in order to get more people to see my thoughts. I want the world to see my creations.

I happen to know the person who had the 50,000th hit: Catherine, from Austin(she sort of looks like the girl in the cake). She is one of my Yahoo buddies from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict boards. I'm so happy she got the honor of being my 50,000th as 50,001 was that Jew hating bitch from France, Bernarda.

Hits are a funny thing, I'm not sure how many times one person can register hits in one day from one computer. My biggest influx of hits came when Pharyngula linked my Penn and Teller video on the bible that I posted in March. I think I got over 2500 on one particular day, maybe 3000. For that month alone, I got over 15,000 hits. Lately I get 170-300 hits a day. Not bad from what I understand about the blogosphere.

Oh yeah, thanks again, especially my loyal readers.

Mohammed Get Light Bulb Removed From Anus

From Reuters: Fateh Mohammad, a prison inmate in Pakistan, says he woke up last weekend with a glass lightbulb in his anus.
...."We had to take it out intact," said Dr. Farrukh Aftab at Nishtar Hospital. "Had it been broken inside, it would be a very very complicated situation."....The doctor treating Mohammad said he'd never encountered anything like it before, and doubted the felon's story that someone had drugged him and inserted the bulb while he was comatose.

First off, I must ask the obvious: How many Muslims does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Secondly, no matter how drugged or passed out I am, there is no way I wouldn't know a lightbulb was being placed up my ass.

He is in jail for making alcohol. This is prohibited by Muslims, unlike hate speech or blowing up infidels.

I'm surprised lightbulbs aren't prohibited by Muslims too, since they seem to want to stay in the dark.

The controversy:

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PALESTINIAN LAND

I really want to get my point across one more time. Hopefully this will be the last time.

Land in the 20th and 21st Century doesn't work like land used to work, when all solid land wasn't claimed on this earth.

There is no such thing as Palestinian land, Muslim land, Arab land, Jewish land, Atheist land, Caucasian land, Christian land, etc.

Land is either owned and/or governed. That is it. That is how land works. Land is just dirt, plain and simple.

Yes, the Palestinian region has existed throughout recorded history. Yes, there is a such thing as Arabs who are/were indigenous to the region, as well as Christians and Jews, etc.

But demographics change everywhere. Immigration is not a form of stealing. You can only steal land if it is OWNED.

The percentages of Muslims in the West has climbed in recent years. Nobody is accusing Muslims of stealing Western lands though because they are not.

The region of Palestine was last governed by the British before Israel was created.
Arabs and their mindless supporters tend to forget that it was the Brits who came up with the White Paper which limited Jewish immigration into the British controlled land of Palestine.

The Arabs, with the exception of the very few who owned land in Israel, have absolutely no claim to Israel. In fact, they have no claim to the West Bank, but it is open to negotiations. Just as Israel was when the Jews were successfully lobbying for it.

Over 90% of the Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza were born in the West Bank and Gaza, and have no property in Israel proper. Their grandfathers may have lived there, but so what? I used to live in Toronto, I don't anymore. In fact, in Toronto, the Kensington district used to have a Jewish majority until the late 50's. But the Jews moved to Northern Toronto. Nobody is making a claim that Kensington is Jewish land.

My house and property is not Jewish land. It wouldn't matter if everyone on my street were Jews. Land can be sold. And it can as easily be sold to anyone of any ethnicity.

The only solid earth on the planet today that is not accounted for besides the disputed West Bank is Antarctica which leads me to a solution to Israeli Palestinian conflict.

The trick is to get the Palestinians to move there. They are easily tricked. Their leaders and especially the leaders of other Arab countries have duped them for years.
I'm not worried that they will read this because every Lefty knows that Palestinians are so hard done by that there is no way they have a computer or internet access, and even if they can get their hands on one, and assuming they don't destroy it, there is no way they can read English because their education has to be next to non-existent thanks to Jooooos not allowing them to have schools.
Back to the plan. Everyone knows that Arabs follow Jews wherever we go. The first thing is to build a small Temple in Antarctica. Then a rumour must be spread. "A lost tribe of Arabs have been found in Antarctica, and they have been living peacefully, but now the Jews have started to force them into the colder regions.
The Jews are planning on settling in Antarctica, the fifth largest continent on this planet, with an eye on New Zealand. And they discovered glaciers filled with oil."

The hard part will be transportation. But I have that covered too. Another rumour that someone has been found to be corrupt at El Al airlines. He is a Jewish airline security guard who feels that the Palestinians have been treated unjustly and wants to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to the Antarctic Arabs. So he smuggling Arabs in the cargo of the planes that fly to Antarctica. Of course, Israel will pay for the Arabs one way trip. It will take time. 200 Arabs crowded in cargo each trip. 15000 one way trips will do the job.

There is no such thing as Palestinian land, but maybe they can successfully lobby for Antarctica once enough of them get there. And they can finally have a Palestinian governed land. Plenty of water too. 90% of the world's fresh water is in Antarctica.

Should Sheikh Riyadh Ul-Haq Be Allowed To Speak In Canada?

Sheikh Riyadh Ul-Haq, from Britain, has been invited to speak in Montreal and Toronto at the end of this month. It is a fact that young Muslims in Canada (and everywhere on this planet) are being recruited by bad Muslims. We just saw 19 arrested, and hopefully there will be more arrests soon.

Muslim Canadian Congress condemns Islamic extremism
Demands an end to foreign funding of religious institutions

TORONTO - The Muslim Canadian Congress has condemned the rise of Islamic extremism among a small group of youth in Canada and has urged Muslim Canadians to root out religion-inspired political activity.

In a statement released in Toronto today, in wake of the recent arrests of 17 Muslim men who are alleged to have planned terrorist acts, the MCC urged Canadian Muslims that they need to be vigilant against the spread of extremist interpretations of Islam in mosques, schools and universities by a section of misguided fanatic youth and their mentors.

This sounds pretty good, but what do they mean by "vigilant"? Where do Muslims go to report extremism? And how will it be handled?

With respect to the charges against the accused, the MCC urges the Crown and the law enforcement agencies to ensure that not only are the accused afforded due process, but that due process is seen to be followed and the constitutional rights of the accused are protected.

While the MCC is confident that Canada's judicial system will determine the guilt or innocence of the accused, the issue of the rise of Islamic extremism among a minority of our community is a reality, and must be addressed by both the Muslim communities as well as the various levels of government.

The MCC urged the Canadian government to take confidence-building measures to ensure the safety and well being of Muslim Canadians from both Islamophobes as well as Islamic extremists.

Acknowledging the problem is a great first step. It is pretty apparent that the MCC knows that the Toronto arrests were warranted.


Palestine

The MCC said, one of the primary issues raised by extremists to stoke anger among Muslim youth against Canada and the western world, is the on-going suffering of the Palestinian people. The statement urged Prime Minister Stephen Harper to get involved in the Middle East peace process by playing the role of an honest broker between Israel and the Palestinian Authority towards:

* Ending the occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel;
* Creating an independent and sovereign Palestine based on the Roadmap to Peace; and
* Urging the Prime Minister of Israel to meet with President Abbas and take the steps necessary to resolve this unending dispute based on UN Resolutions 242 and 343

The statement urged Prime Minister Harper to lift the economic strangulation of the PA economy hat is causing deep suffering among the Palestinians. A resolution of the Palestinian dispute will be the single largest blow to the recruitment and propaganda drive by Islamic extremists. The creation of a viable, sovereign Palestinian state, living in security and dignity alongside Israel will deprive the Islamists of the primary argument they use in inculcating a sense of victimhood among young Canadian Muslim men.

The resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict may not necessarily eliminate Islamic extremism, but it will help stop the extremists from using the plight of the Palestinians to recruit new converts.
Afghanistan

The MCC statement also called on the end of the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. The statement said that five years after the so called War on Terrorism was launched, it has failed in achieving any of its primary objectives. What was once restricted to the foothills of Tora Bora in Afghanistan, has now come to the doorsteps of Toronto. The Canadian government needs to realise that the recipe offered by George Bush and Tony Blair has led to an increase of terrorism. The Taliban, who were supposed to have died and gone, have resurfaced again and are alive and well.

The MCC recognizes that international conflicts alone are not the sole cause for the rise of Islamic extremism, but they are being used to stoke anger, isolationism and suspicion of Canada among its Muslim youth. We recognize that this is a multi-faceted problem that requires a multi-dimensional solution. Therefore, as an immediate step to confront the rise of extremism among Muslim youth, the Muslim Canadian Congress presented a multi-point plan that it will send to the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the leaders of the NDP and Bloc Quebecois.

Blah blah blah blah. I hate it when Muslims try to even attempt to give a reason for terrorist activity. Eliminate the extremists, and then we don't have to worry about whether they use Israel, Afghanistan, Iraq, cartoons, or Sharia law restrictions to recruit new imbeciles. And get real MCC, you know and I know that the Palestinians have not shown one bit of interest in realistically getting a state.


Ban Foreign Donations

The MCC proposal demands amendments to Canada's laws and regulations:

* Ban all foreign funding of Canadian religious institutions and places of worship by governments or offshore charities. MCC feels that such a ban will not only cut off the oxygen that sustains extremist groups, but will place the mosques back in the hands of community groups that founded the institutions in the first place. The MCC also considers it unethical and immoral for Canada to be accepting money from the developing world; money that would serve a much better purpose in alleviating poverty in Africa and Asia.

OK, now for the good stuff. They are admitting that Mosques in Canada are being bought by "suspected" terrorists. The system sounds extremely corruptive, and it sounds widespread. Why hasn't any Muslims spoke out of this before? Don't they know when hate is being preached in Mosques? How can we trust them to come clean in the future?

Mosques and other places of worship are not the places for politics; they are primarily places for worship. Imams and other clerics who peddle politics need to be told to take their politics to the electorate and not to the pulpit. Religion and politics are an incendiary mixture and invoking God on one's side in a political dispute is dishonest, callous and dangerous. The MCC asks politicised imams to keep their politics to themselves and not to stain our religion by using the divine texts to score political points and promote extremism. The MCC demands strict enforcement of current laws governing charities that do not permit charitable institutions to participate in politics. Any registered charity that spreads hate and extremism, should have its charitable status revoked.

Accusations of blasphemy and apostasy against Muslims by Muslims, be considered a death threat under the criminal code and be treated as a hate crime. Such a change in law will ensure that radical elements within the Muslim community do not silence moderate Muslims by invoking fear and promoting harassment.

Atheism For Children

The author of the book Did You Know That All The Gods Came From the Same Place, Madalyn Murray O'Hair, was the founder of American Atheists.

Her Fate(Some Atheist Trivia):
Disappearance and death

On August 27, 1995, Madalyn, Jon Garth, and Robin Murray O'Hair (William's daughter, whom she had adopted) disappeared from the headquarters of American Atheists, leaving a note implying an absence for some time and a visit to San Antonio, Texas. In September, Jon ordered $600,000 (USD) worth of gold coins from a San Antonio jeweler but took delivery of only $500,000 (USD). No further communication came from any of the O'Hairs, and one year later, William Murray filed a missing persons report.

There was speculation that the O'Hairs had abandoned American Atheists and fled with the money. One investigator concluded they had gone to New Zealand. Other theories suggested fundamentalist Christians had kidnapped the trio. Another rumor was that O'Hair had died of natural causes, and that her remains had been secretly disposed of to prevent the possibility of a "Christian burial" by her son. The O'Hairs were declared legally dead, and many of their assets were sold to clear up their debts.

Ultimately, a murder investigation focused on David Roland Waters, who had worked as an office manager and typesetter for American Atheists and who had previous convictions for violent crimes and also one for stealing $50,000 from the organization. Police concluded that he and his accomplices had kidnapped the O'Hairs, forced them to withdraw the missing funds, and then murdered them. Waters eventually pled guilty to reduced charges. Subsequently, in January 2001, Waters informed the police that the O'Hairs were buried on a ranch in Texas, and gave them the exact location of the ranch and the bodies. When the police excavated there, they discovered that the O'Hairs' bodies had been cut into dozens of pieces with a saw. The remains exhibited such extensive mutilation and successive decomposition that identification had to be made through dental records, by DNA testing, and in Madalyn O'Hair's case, by her prosthetic hip.

Thinking Out Loud About Morality

Thanks to Hellbound Alleee's war against moral relativism I've been thinking about the term "morality" a lot lately. Of course, the first thing I needed to do is define "morality." Many religious folk define it as a good and bad according to what God says or thinks. But since religions can't even agree on what God says or thinks, this idea is ridiculous. For example, take abortion, 50% of people are against it, and 50% believe it is the woman's right to choose. 90% of Americans believe in God, and I even know a few Atheists who are against abortion, therefore, many people think abortion is moral, and many believe it is immoral.

I'll stick with the secular definition of morality: "right or good conduct is moral, wrong or bad conduct is immoral." This leaves a bit of dilemma, because it brings up the question of in who's eyes should an act be judged moral or immoral? Of course, I don't believe God exists, so he doesn't enter into the equation, and morality definitely existed prior to biblical times. I look no further than nature being the judge of moral and immoral behaviour. In other words, all species on the planet evolved their own moral code.. Evolution has no goal, but in order for a species to survive brains must have evolved the concept of morality to allow this to happen.

Morals are the rules that allow a species to survive. Man doesn't randomly murder, rape or steal because we have developed the idea that this is wrong. If it was deemed right, we would not be here today. The same is true of every animal species on this planet. Of course, I'm talking about within the same species. Each species has evolved it's own subjective morality. So as far as relative morality goes, each species has little tweaks that make their morality slightly different than ours.. This is due to the amount of offspring a species has, the species need for an exact territory, food required to survive, and predators. But morality is all about keeping the species going.

Lets look at ants. Ants don't believe in God, in fact, other than humans, no other species on this planet, other than pets or zoo animals, are even given any guidlelines on what is right or wrong, and our ancient ancestors had no guidelines either. Ants main thing is keeping their species going. This is what drives them. They find a suitable habitat that is away from predators, protect and feed their Queen (the one responsible for procreation and giving the next generation life). All other species on the planet do not matter in this equation. All other species are either predators or food. They appear to act morally within the species, so unless you want to argue that morality doesn't exist, morals must have evolved. The thing is that since they don't have given rules, they are incapable of immorality, unless it is found that ants can actually lose it and go crazy. By crazy, it would have to commit an act that would be detrimental to the majority of the Queen's offspring's survival, causing an end of the line of that colony.

Of the higher animals, guilt has evolved as a way to remind us of repurcussions of our actions. Humans are capable of nasty things, and destruction just for the heck of it and many other immoral things. If we do something immoral, or wrong, the sane person is reminded of it. The ability to think ahead, actually allows us to stop ourselves from performing most immoral acts. Guilt is a factor in what is moral or immoral amongst humans and most likely all great apes. Guilt can be subjective but morality isn't.

Now lets go back to abortion and morality. I've already implied that humans have their own objective morality. Morality for humans is based on keeping the species going. An average woman could physically have 15 to 20 children in their lifetime. So generally speaking, an abortion will not doom the mother's line or mankinds line. If the woman can get around the guilt issue (living with the decision), abortion is her choice. Taking an unwanted life out in it's fetal stages will not cause anyone to cause physical harm on the mother as women aren't punished physically for having abortions by other people. Abortion is therefore neither moral or immoral. An act that would cause someone to seek physical revenge would be anti-evolutionary because it has the capablities of taking out one or more people who are potential procreators or someone who helps allow for the species to carry on, and perhaps even a perpetual cycle of violence.

This leads to the morality of war. Thanks to false differing religious beliefs and differing ideologies (many due to religioous beliefs), man has basically made a red ant-black ant-green ant-etc situation within our own species. Some of these ideologies and beliefs have to do with eliminating and/or changing others with different beliefs.
When it comes down to someone who wants to murder or inflict harm on you, or a group of people, because you don't think like them, then defense is completely moral and justified. Doing something physical that will invoke the need for the person attacked (or others related to the person attacked) to attack back, will cause our defense mechanisms to spring into action. Stealing is the act of physically taken something owned by someone else. This too falls in the category or immoral provocation, it is anti-evolutionary when something is done that could lead to death. Most societies have laws against rape, murder, and stealing which prevents most affected from taking revenge in their own hands.

Humans don't have to procreate to act morally either. The simple act of paying taxes for schools is similar to worker ants helping their species live to see another generation. Hey, I'm a worker ant.

Suha Arafat Needs My Help

Lately on Gmail I've been getting at least one bank trasfer spam email each day, a couple of closed Visa account emails, and one or two Pay Pal scam emails (I don't even have a Pay Pal account). I don't get these scam emails in my IncrediMail account, although I get stock alert spams, penis enlargement spams, and drug spams there.

We're Getting Very Close To Figuring Out How Exactly Life Began

It is beginning to look like small molecules made from natural elements actually evolved into life 3.5 to 3.9 billion years ago on earth.

Fundies and plain many plain old believers don't like this topic, but sometimes reality is tough to deal with.

I had my family over to dinner last night. We are all secularists, but one of my brothers is adamant about God existing. He doesn't like my blog, and doesn't want me to interact with my 15 year old nephew regarding science and God. I don't think it is the science stuff so much, but more where it might lead him.

He feels that if someone doesn't believe in God, he/she has no purpose in life. Now he isn't into preaching, and I doubt he knows much about the bible, but he seems to need to believe in God and resents those who don't, and isn't interested in conflicting materials or arguments.

My sister thinks that a belief God is needed to live a moral life. At least she married someone who gets it. The night wasn't a total waste for me. I got into some intellectual discussions with my brother-in-law.

And my nephew was very interested in evolution science. I showed him some clips from this site, and he watched it eagerly. I did tell my brother that you don't need to ignore evolution to believe in God, and that many scientists do believe in God and evolution.

I was actually a bit taken back when my brother said basically not to teach my views to HIS kids, and if I want to teach my views I should have my own kids. This was before I showed my nephew the evolution for students site. When he was about to leave, I printed this and sent him home with it to read. In other words.....don't tell me what I can and can't say to anybody. The only person who can silence me the guy who signs my paycheck:)

I used to get over my shyness using a very similar type of test to this with bar chicks. This is a Personality Test for Bar Chicks.

I found chicks really liked this type of quiz because it was simple, and about them and what they were supposed to be really like and what they really wanted. ANN COULTER IS AN EMBARRASSING DITZ

Once again Ann Coulter is stirring the pot with her idiocy, this time with her new book "Godless." From the reviews and the interviews I've seen so far, I have to say that she is a complete nutcase who is just as delusional and NOW just as hurtful (thanks to her comments about 9/11 wives) as Shirley Roper. Same shit, different pile. She is just as disgraceful as Michael Berg and Cindy Sheehan.

She apparently devoted a chapter to evolution and the Left. She calls evolution the religion of the Left whereby the religion of evolution allows Lefties to be void of moralities. She says the Left is without religion. She says that evolution is full of gaps and in fine Fundy form uses Piltdown man and peppered moths of England as examples that evolution is a false science. Of course, she ignores that every genuine biologist on this planet knows evolution is fact, and she ignores the fact that every legitimate scientific discovery fits into evolution theory, and that frauds are constantly looked for and found out by the rigorous scrutinizing that scientific theory goes through.

She makes the false conclusion that evolution is a way for the Godless to prove that there is no God.
That is just ignorant. Evolution is fact. You can make your own conclusions about God but don’t deny real facts and then write about it. Many biologists believe in God, notably, Ken Miller. Evolution disproves a literal bible though........too bad. Geology also disproves a literal bible, so does math. But many Fundies just can’t handle facts that conflict with the bible and take the old age approach of calling anyone who has information contrary to the bible, demonic monsters and heretics.

Considering almost 50% of Americans are Democrat, and thus Lefties by her definition, and 90% of Americans believe in God, how can she call Lefties Godless Evolutionists?
Many Republicans believe in a evolution and many democrats don't. Of course, more Conservatives deny evolution and they also believe in Young Earth nonsense too than Liberal Democrats do. But the idiot lumps everyone together. Her book sounds like a real bad blog.

Take me for instance. I don't apologize for terror. In fact, I'm as hard on terrorists and radical Islam as much as any Far Right Republican is for that matter. I know that radical Islam must be reformed or exterminated. And I deny God's existence, and I know evolution is fact. I am proof that Coulter is a know nothing rhetorical wind bag. I know many Atheists and Agnostic who share my views on Islam. A lot of them comment on this blog. Coulter is an embarrassment to anyone who is Pro-War on Terror. The War on Terror has nothing to do with believing in evolution. In fact, most of who we are fighting are staunch God believers and most Jihadists do not believe in evolution.

I don't need to get into her interview where she stated that Canada sent soldiers to Vietnam and still believed it even when CBC Fifth Estate's Bob McKeown told her she was wrong. Nor do I have to mention her Adam's Apple or man hands in order to ridicule her. I don’t even have to speculate if she pees standing up. I refuse to go down to her levels. The contents of her new book expose her ditziness enough without me slandering her.

OBLIGATORY 666 POST

Since Atheists are believed to the sons and daughters of Satan by many fruitcakes out there, I feel compelled to dedicate a post to 666.

I've decided to take a different approach to 666. This is not the first time the year or date 666 has been upon us. The first time was the Hebrew year 666, but nobody had a clue about Christianity or the concept of a calendar back then. It was still around 990 years before Noah saved 2 of every animal on this planet, except for dinosaurs. He watched all the dinosaurs drown, the heartless basturd. I still can't believe he would do such a thing.

Then came the Roman calendar. I don't know how or if they recorded year dates, and I'm not interested in making this my lifes work to find out. I know they didn't use BC unless they were really clairvoyant. The Julian Caesar started in the year 46 BC, but again, I have no idea if Julias started with year 1. The man or myth Jesus was born in the Gregorian calendar year of 0-4 AD, which would mean he was a toddler or maybe a kindergartner June 6th, 06, if he existed at all. Of course they didn't call it that back then.

The year 1268 AD coincides with the Islamic calendar for the 666. It was a time in history that the Mongolians were starting to try to steal the land that the Muslims stole a few centuries earlier.

Ok, enough already. Here is where I'm going with this. I'm not too sure when the relevance of the Mark of the Beast scared the Jeebus out of certain people. But if it was known during the Gregorian year of 1006, May 1st 1006 would have been a sure sign the end was 35 days away. Unfortunately, the Gregorian calendar didn't come into affect until 1582. But on May 1st, 1006, the brightest Supernova ever was seen by mankind in recorded history. It must have scared everyone regardless.

Gay Marriage Amendment Blows

George Bush will eat the corn out of the Christian Right's feces it seems, in order to get votes. If it ever passed, it would just be a sad day for humanity and one giant leap into the theocratic abyss.



Here are some of my thoughts:

In prehistoric times, a man and a woman had sex, the woman got pregnant and the man hunted and gathered for a couple of years until the child was able to stand. Then he went to spread his genes elsewhere.

Churches didn't become involved in marriages until the 9th Century. And prior to the 6th Century, all people had to do was say they were married.

Marriage is just a way to celebrate the union of two people who think they will be together until one of them croaks.

Divorce rates are high, even amongst Evangelicals. Many marriages are crocks or turn into them.

It has only been a very short time since studies have confirmed that most gays aren't gay by choice. It is genetic, even in women, studies show that the tendency toward lesbianism occurs during fetal development.

Marriage is about two people who think they love each other and want to have children in many cases.

Weddings are a way to get families together to celebrate the union of two people who think they love each other.

What happens when a man and a woman marry and the man or woman goes through a sex change if same sex marriage is banned?

What about hermaphrodites? Can they get married?

Anyone who is stupid enough to get married, should be allowed to.

Sex with children and animals is wrong, it is like killing a person for absolutely no reason. Someone who does this should be locked up and has his/her genitals removed. Pedophelia and beastiality are choices and/or sicknesses. Homosexuality is not a sickness and in most cases, not a choice. Homosexuality is not a criminal offense. Beastiality and pedophelia are, or at least should be always.

Why does it matter so much to some people if two gays want to call their union a marriage? Get a life.

When a male Fundy gets a divorce or his wife dies, who does he spend eternity with? Are you allowed to have many wives in heaven. Is it just one big orgy because the wives too could have been married once or twice before.

This whole thing is just about bible thumpers being against homosexuality period. They can say that the bible says that homosexuality is wrong, but if they want to go by the bible, the only marriages were arranged. Maybe we should go back to those days.

One final thought. I still don't like seeing two men kiss, not even when Tony Soprano kisses another mobster on the cheek as a greeting.

Revelation: All Life Evolved From Bacteria

Warning: I am not a biologist.


I read a story a couple of days on Yahoo News: "Gene Expert Says We Are Not Entirely Human", and in that article it goes on to say that "We are somehow like an amalgam, a mix of bacteria and human cells. There are some estimates that say 90 percent of the cells on our body are actually bacteria," Steven Gill, a molecular biologist formerly at TIGR and now at the State University of New York in Buffalo, said in a telephone interview.

This article got me wondering. It basically says that not only humans can not live without bacteria, but all life forms can't live without bacteria.

The wheels in my puny brain started to turn. If this is true and since bacteria can live without us, bacteria must have been the first life on our planet. Then I found out that lots of people know this most likely true. It is assumed in this 1996 article : "In the first two billion years of life on Earth, bacteria - the only inhabitants - continuously transformed the planet's surface and atmosphere and invented all life's essential, miniaturized chemical systems." Abiogenesis is explained here, but the explanation makes me feel intellectual inferior.

The fossil record for bacteria goes back at least 3.5 billion years. "The first inhabitants of Earth did not need oxygen to breath, in fact oxygen was toxic to them, and this gas was rare in the atmosphere in those days. However the cyanobacteria that inhabited Earth in the Precambrium produced oxygen as a waste gas and so helped establish an aerobic ecosystem."

And this is how evolution works: "bacteria routinely transfer their genes to bacteria very different from themselves. The receiving bacterium can use the visiting, accessory DNA (the cell's genetic material) to perform functions that its own genes cannot mandate. Bacteria can exchange genes quickly and reversibly. Unlike other life forms, all the world's bacteria have access to a single gene pool and hence to the chemical prowess of the entire bacterial kingdom." Here is more on this.

OK, I read all this stuff, some sunk in, and some concepts went whoosh over my head.

Then I read another piece of news this morning: "Ontario Rock Reveals Earth's Earliest Life Form."

This is another missing link discovery. A 2.45 billion year old fossil would expect to be of a primitive bacteria, but instead "higher-order organisms in which each cell has a brain-like nucleus directing its growth and reproduction" were found.

Just as I was finishing off my "research" for this piece, I found this article, to store in my "Wow I didn't know this" section of my brain. Many bacteria have evolved eyespots that allow them to distinguish between food and other stuff.


Now, this leads me to a theistic question. If God created us in his image, is God bacteria? I still can't get over the fact that believers think that man was created in God's image. What about the butt? Does God have a butt? Does he use it the same way we use it? He obviously couldn't come up with a way for humans to go around without defecating every once in a while. This must mean God too defecates. And this has to mean that heaven has toilets. I wonder if they are unisex or if there are long line ups. Maybe a Fundy can tackle these questions.

What Exactly Do Terrorists Like About Non Muslims?

So I wake this morning and find out about this huge terrorist sweep in the Toronto area. I must be completely brainwashed and prejudiced because my first thoughts were those arrested were probably Muslims. In Canada, the media really tries to avoid using the term Muslim or Islam when they discuss terror or terrorist suspects. In fact, as the day progressed the Canadian newscasters kept saying men and teenagers with Al Qaeda ties were arrested, they avoided uttering the M word at all costs.

Finally when they a Canadian Muslim spokesman, the news guy finally fessed up and said that they do go out of their way pointing out the obvious as if it will stop racial intolerance. The Muslim spokesman by the way did state that it is time for Muslims to get angry with terrorists and to quit scapegoating excuses. I thought that was great, but he is just one voice.

Getting back to what transpired. The bulk of the 17 arrested were homegrown Canadian Muslims. Where and how did they learn to hate the West, and especially a country that bends over backwards in being a cultural mosaic state? Maybe we'll find out more soon.

The excuses coming out right now though have to with the worldwide treatment of Muslims. Most of these Jihadists arrested today were from somewhat affluent homes. I guess they can't use the oppression excuse this time. WTF. What doesn't piss these guys off? Lets see, if it isn't Israel, it is Iraq, or maybe cartoons or Afghanistan or restricting Sharia Law. They for sure don't like what is written about them. Maybe my blog will be responible for making some homegrown Canadian Muslim snap and blow up some innocents in a crowded subway.

The lawyers and family who were interviewed pissed me off. They were saying things like this sweep was unwarranted and that lawsuits will probably spring up over this, and that this whole sweep happened because of fear. No, it was because CSIS discovered a major attack was imminent.

Thanks you Jihadists, now the borders with the USA will be even tighter. Canada now has a reputation that we can grow our own terrorists, so we don't have to worry so much who we let in. They are already here. And the USA doens't want them, and either do I. And so much for oppression, most of those arrested today were from pretty afluent homes.

Enough is enough. Shit or get off the pot. No more excuses for this from the Muslims or their Moonbat sympathisers. This time I will not accept anything but a never seen before major campaign denouncing terrorism. No silence, no yeah buts, I want to see marches with more than 25 people and I want to see it in writing too.

Response To Another Muslim Who Doesn't Get It

I must admit the writer of the Avari blog seems very literate and intelligent, at least on the surface, but sadly he is no different in the way he spins, deflects and cherry picks what is written as criticisms against Islam and Muslims.

He dedicated half a blog post to me and my question about Muslims using the term pigs and apes to describe Jews and possibly Christians.

Essentially he is defending the Koran by stating it is foolish to interpret apes and swine in a literal way, and he implies I'm foolish and uneducated for even bringing up the literal translation as a possibility.

I wonder if he bothered opening any of the links I provided in my post. It is a fact that some Arab Muslims, at least, interpret apes and pigs in a literal way when pertaining to Jews and Christians. Whether it is the right or wrong interpretation, it is reality that this idea is being taught to Arab Muslims at a very young age. Sure it is foolish, I find all literal interpretation, of all bibles foolish, but it doesn't stop many Muslims, Jews, and Christians, etc. from believing fully in literal interpretations. It was very juvenile of him to shoot the messenger.

He goes on to relevant points to defend the Koran. But then calls me an idiot as if I'm interpretting the Koran in the most negative way. I am not. But many Muslims are. That was the point of my post.

He says that he disproved me in his post. I have no idea what he thinks my post said. Maybe he needs an interpreter. I know I won't get an apology.

He goes on about my the questions for Muslims. And he uses one Christians Palestinian terrorist as proof that Christian Palestinian terrorists exist. How lame.

And again, he allows me to lump all Muslims together by his unsubstantiated support of the Palestinians and his obsession with Israel. On his sidebar he has a section called "Palestein" with 13 links (including one on the USS Liberty). Of course not even one link that specifically is about Darfur. Does anyone else notice a pattern here? Why is a Pakistani Muslim so interested in Israel but hardly focuses on Darfur(at least he did write a couple of posts on Darfur to his credit).

He even admits why Darfur is hardly mentioned, and it makes total sense:

More accurately, however, our silence is stupefaction, looking into the mirror and seeing ourselves responsible for evil and oppression. We, as humans, do not like to know that persons of our group, our type, our clan, tribe, family or nationality, whatever it may be, are capable of such acts. We are instead hopeful, always, that it is the outsider -- in this case, the non-Muslim -- who is the bad guy.

When the facts prove otherwise, we become embarrassingly silent....

He seems very reasonable, but something blocked him from understanding the point of my post. I would also like to see him write a piece on why he thinks Israel is on Arab and/or Muslim land.

Congradulations To Spelling Be Champ

I watched the Spelling Be Championships last night and I was ammazed at the perserverance and the abundence of knowlege the participance had. There grammer was impeccible to.
I read alot, but I found it incredably embarassing that these kids new how to spell word that I never even herd of. Does'nt anyone else think it is wierd that these words were so unrecognisable.
The winner, Katharine Close, must have a super computor brain. She was definately the the most noticabley confidant and fastest contestent. She staid away from any miniscule mispellings in the contest, which was remarkible.
Any ways, I'm glad spelling isn't my passtime, as I am some times criticised about my spelling on this blog. I'm still having problems with words like seperate and desparate. I think I'll just stick with things I no, like being an Athiest.

Question For The Muslim Blogging Community

OK, what is the real deal with the Koran and the expression Jews descended from apes and pigs?

I've done some reading up on the subject and I am a bit confused. It seems that at least some Saudis and Egyptians teach this to be a literal transformation. I've also seen where some Muslims state it metaphorically describes Jews, and I've seen some instances where Muslims have stated it was just a current day conflict at the time the Koran was written.

It also seems there is confusion as to whether Jews are descended by both apes and pigs or just apes while Christians are descended from swine. Something about non-believers in Islam but believers in the book get to be named descendents. How come Atheists don't get an animal to descend from too? I'm covered by also being a Jew, but I would feel left out if I was just a plain old Atheist.

I know that different interpretations exist all over the place. But nobody denies that the Koran actually at least compares Jews to apes and swine. But why are 3 year old Muslim girls being taught the literal translation? How sick is that?

I have no problem being a descendent of an ape from an evolutionary standpoint. In fact, man is classified by most biologists as a great ape. Even being descended from a pig isn't the worst thing to say about me. It is fact that pig and man share the same ancestor from a long, long time ago, as we do with all mammals.

But correct me if I'm wrong, most Muslims don't believe in evolution. I don't think Muslims are talking evolution when they say that Jews descended from pigs and apes. However, if they don't believe in evolution, how do they get around evolution on this issue? Is this like the Adam's rib turning into Eve kind of dealy? When did this transformation take place? Was it pre-Moses or post-Moses? So many questions, and so few answers.

And what percentage of Muslims are we talking about here, that literally believe Jews came from pig and/or apes? What percentage think it is a metaphoric term? And what percentage sluff it off as just something Mohammed said when he was having a bad hair day?

Anyways, until I get some reasonable answers I'll stick with the following club:
